Open me up,peek around inside
Make sure that I'm working
Insure I'm alive
Sew me shut, then let me go
Out to the real world
Where weird people roam
Holding out,means holding on
Hold onto something
We've got to be strong!
I do things the hard way, like I'm driving blind
We're spinning in neutral, suspended in time
All through with beginnings, press stop
Then rewind.

There are primates in the gorges playing dressup in the park
at the lake side where the water fingers in
and fingers out
Busy termites on the hillside
eating history,shitting plastic
Stone and glass
where memories once stood
above station #9,the cultivated minds
climb slowly down their vines
to worship concrete meadows
always fearful of the jungle(and the poor discarded souls below)
There are primates everywhere
do they judge me do they care?
as they wander in their own world in their thoughts they're always thinking,
tied to the towers blinking
blinking lights and waterfalls, blinking lights and waterfalls
blinking lights
and waterfalls

In the first days of spring
you dare spread your wings
where the ground lets you sleep
in peace
all alone in the field
with only hope as your shield
that they won't cut you down
and scatter your bones all around
hollow arms you will stretch
towards the warmth of the sun
awaiting your time,
when finally you'll show your face
and your head is afire
shouting out to the world
can you see me now,I belong somehow
right here
in the passing of time
comes a waning of strength
your body turns gray your hair turns white
as snow
and they might pluck you up
from the only home you've ever known
and blow forth their dreams
while scattering your own,in the air
did you ever know you could fly?

Keith Ian Neal Mc Graw, New York
It's been well over a decade since I began to share my songs with the public, sometimes getting a great response, other times leaving folks wondering what the hell I was trying to do. Before the pandemic messed it all up,I usually played bass for Sanjuro Fields and Car PeopleLogistics got screwy so I found I had to go it alone or sit home doing nothing, rotting creatively. I can't do that. Here I am ... more
